I'm Mateus Cavalcanti, a music photographer based in Araraquara, SP, Brazil. My work focuses on concert photography, festivals, bands, artists, and music events, also covering Ribeirão Preto, São Carlos, and other cities across the interior of São Paulo.
Photography has always been part of my life, but everything started to make sense when I entered the music scene in the interior of São Paulo. Every click is an attempt to capture sound with light: the energy of the stage, the presence of the artists, and the real connection with the audience.
In 2018, I completed a professional photography course at the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP) and have since been building a personal body of work focused on the visual storytelling of live music.
